In a recent update to Kuwait aviation news, the General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that it has imposed fines on eight travel and tourism agencies and one airline for violating approved laws, regulations, and circulars.
This decision came during the eleventh meeting of the Complaints and Arbitration Committee, held yesterday (Thursday), chaired by Abdullah Fadous Al-Rajhi, Director of Air Transport, with the participation of representatives from the Fatwa and Legislation Department, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Information, and the Federation of Travel and Tourism Offices.
During the meeting, multiple complaints were reviewed and discussed. After evaluating the cases, the committee issued penalties in accordance with legal and regulatory frameworks to ensure compliance within the air transport sector.
Committee Chairman Abdullah Fadous Al-Rajhi confirmed that the committee will continue taking strict action against any violations in the air transport market that may harm passengers. He stressed that compliance with laws and regulations is mandatory for all travel offices and airlines.
He added that the goal of the committee is not merely to impose penalties, but to enforce accountability, protect passengers, and maintain a transparent and ethical aviation environment. This update reflects the authority’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and ensure a fair and safe air transport system.
