Despite the passenger decline, the airport saw positive developments in other sectors. Aircraft movements experienced a modest increase of 1%, with 9,950 flights recorded in March 2024 compared to 9,283 flights in the previous year. Most notably, air cargo traffic exhibited a significant upswing, registering a robust 14% growth. The DGCA report did not specify the reasons behind the passenger traffic decline.
