The Ministry of Interior has announced a major update regarding travel regulations. Starting immediately, Kuwait biometric fingerprint registration has become mandatory for all citizens and residents before leaving the country through any air, land, or sea port.
According to the Ministry, biometric fingerprinting in Kuwait will no longer be conducted at border crossings, as the previous system caused significant congestion and travel delays. To ensure smoother procedures, travelers are now required to complete the Kuwait biometric fingerprint process in advance at the Criminal Evidence Department’s personal identification centers and national identity centers across all governorates.
Citizens can provide their fingerprints at the national identity centers, while residents must visit the Criminal Evidence Department’s personal identification offices. The Ministry emphasized that this step is part of its broader efforts to modernize travel systems, enhance security, and ensure faster movement through Kuwait International Airport and other entry points.
Officials have urged everyone to complete their biometric fingerprint in Kuwait well before their travel date to avoid any issues or delays during departure. This proactive approach will help manage crowds, improve efficiency, and create a smoother experience for all travelers.
