Public Authority for Manpower:The Public Authority for Manpower announced on Wednesday the adoption of a new mechanism to regulate the working hours of employees in private schools. Under the new rule, staff will work seven actual hours per day.
The authority stated that the decision aims to improve the work environment in the private education sector and ensure the stability of the educational process.
The new mechanism, proposed by the Kuwaiti Federation of Private Schools and approved by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, follows a comprehensive study on the nature of work in educational institutions.
It explained that schools have a unique system that requires teachers and administrative staff to be present throughout the day to maintain smooth operations. The decision is based on Article 65 of the Labor Law, which regulates daily working hours, and allows seven consecutive hours without a rest period for technical or organizational reasons.Stay updated on Kuwait’s latest news and job openings by following our WhatsApp channel!https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaCkXo25q08jnKrRwo27
