Umrah pilgrims has exceeded the 4 million barrier since the start of the season in early June, according to the German news agency dpa.
Sources explained to Al-Arabiya website that the most popular nationalities to perform Umrah this season are Pakistan, Indonesia, India, Iraq, and Egypt, in an indication of the growing international and regional presence of the Umrah season within a short period of time not exceeding five months from its launch.
As part of the facilities provided to the pilgrims, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has made it possible to issue Umrah permits electronically for Umrah pilgrims from outside the Kingdom through the “Nusk” application, a unified digital platform that provides a comprehensive system of government services.
