36 Illegal Workers Arrested at Residential Project in Mutlaa City

The Public Authority for Manpower has announced the arrest of 36 workers found in violation of labor and residency laws at a Public Institution for Housing Welfare project in Mutlaa City.

In a press release, the authority stated that the inspection campaign was part of ongoing efforts to regulate the labor market and strengthen oversight at construction and project sites. The operation was carried out under the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, in coordination with the Residence Affairs Investigations Department.

Among those arrested were 15 domestic workers and 21 individuals working in sheep farming. All violators have been referred to the Residence Affairs Investigations Department for further legal action.

The authority stressed that inspection campaigns will continue in cooperation with relevant agencies to ensure a lawful, safe, and organized work environment at all project locations.

Employers were once again urged to adhere strictly to labor laws and avoid hiring illegal workers.
