Counterfeit goods seized in Farwaniya-The Commercial Control Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has seized 381 counterfeit products during an inspection campaign in Farwaniya Governorate.
Faisal Al-Ansari, Director of the Commercial Control Department, confirmed that the crackdown on counterfeit items comes as part of the ministry’s continuous efforts to combat commercial violations. He emphasized that inspection teams are working around the clock to ensure strict enforcement without any leniency.
According to Al-Ansari, the confiscated goods included fake watches, wallets, women’s handbags, and hats designed to imitate well-known international brands.
He further stressed that the ministry will continue its intensive field campaigns to monitor commercial activities, control pricing, prevent artificial price hikes, and verify the quality and origin of products offered in the market, in line with applicable regulations.
