The Ministry of Interior has issued a stern warning to all motorists: there will be no exceptions to the two-month vehicle impoundment rule for violators.
On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the Technical Inspection Department and the Control Department of the General Traffic Department, in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Kuwait Municipality, conducted a major traffic inspection campaign targeting industrial workshops in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.
The campaign, attended by Brigadier Bader Ghazi Al-Qattan, Assistant Director General for Traffic Regulation Affairs, recorded 55 traffic violations. Additionally, 23 violators of residency laws were arrested and are undergoing legal procedures in preparation for deportation.
During the inspections:
- The Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued 7 citations to non-compliant workshops.
- The Kuwait Municipality issued 8 citations for the illegal use of public spaces.
The General Traffic Department emphasized that these efforts are part of the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to public order and traffic safety. Similar campaigns will continue across the country to ensure full compliance with traffic and legal regulations.
