The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, issued an administrative circular announcing the Kuwait wedding hall smoking ban, which prohibits smoking in all its forms inside wedding halls belonging to the Ministry or under its supervision.
Al-Ajmi confirmed in Circular No. (17) of 2025 that this Kuwait wedding hall smoking ban is based on Environmental Protection Law No. 42 of 2014, as amended by Law No. 99 of 2015, and the decision of the General Authority for Environmental Affairs No. 2 of 2015. He emphasized that the prohibition of smoking and the use of cigarettes and tobacco in any form inside wedding halls aims to ensure compliance with environmental laws and to avoid the legal responsibility resulting from violating this regulation.
