The country recorded a noticeable drop in temperatures across various regions around 6:00 AM yesterday, Wednesday, according to the latest Kuwait weather update.
Meteorologist Issa Ramadan said that Mutriba was the coldest area, recording only 9 degrees Celsius, while Al-Salmi and Kuwait International Airport recorded about 11 degrees Celsius.
He added that temperatures ranged between 14 and 17 degrees Celsius in western and desert regions such as Al-Abraq, Al-Manaqish, and farms in open areas.
Coastal areas were more moderate due to the influence of the sea, with temperatures ranging between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius in Ras Al Salmiya and the areas overlooking the eastern coast, while Failaka Island recorded about 12 degrees Celsius, and Bubiyan Island about 10 degrees Celsius.
Ramadan noted that during mid-November, clouds begin to increase, raising the chances of rainfall in western Saudi Arabia, gradually extending towards Kuwait and neighboring areas. In recent years, the rainy season has been observed to be delayed compared to previous decades, likely due to climate change in the Arab region.
He confirmed that this drop in temperatures indicates that the country has entered the actual phase of cold weather during night and dawn hours, with further drops expected in the coming days, especially in desert and wilderness areas.
Desert visitors and camping enthusiasts are advised to wear warm clothes and take necessary weather precautions during the evening and early morning hours.
