Kuwait City | November 10, 2025 – Kuwait is entering a new era of modernization and growth with the introduction of the Kuwait digital visa system, which allows visitors to obtain a visa in just five minutes. The announcement was made by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, during the Green Urban Development Initiatives Forum held today.
Al-Yousef said that “Kuwait’s reality today is far more advanced than before, as we are witnessing rapid progress in every field, supported by the introduction of new laws and systems.” He emphasized that the Kuwait digital visa system represents a major step in the nation’s digital transformation and administrative reform.
Fast, Simple, and Smart Visa Process
Explaining the new process, Sheikh Fahad noted that the Kuwait Visa platform enables travelers to complete their applications online within minutes. “Visas and residency permits are now easier and faster to obtain through modern systems developed by the Ministry of Interior,” he stated.
He reaffirmed that Kuwait welcomes visitors of all nationalities, provided they respect the country’s laws and traditions. “We have no issues with any nationality. Everyone who follows our laws and respects our values is welcome at any time,” Al-Yousef added.
Tourism and Climate Advantage
Highlighting Kuwait’s tourism potential, Al-Yousef said that the country’s unique climate makes it an attractive destination between October 15 and April 15. He encouraged visitors to take advantage of the pleasant weather and explore the country during this period.
Regional Cooperation and Security
Sheikh Fahad announced that he will meet with GCC interior ministry undersecretaries to discuss ways to enhance security cooperation among Gulf states. He thanked His Highness the Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his continued support of national security efforts.
Al-Yousef also revealed that a new anti-narcotics law will soon be published in the Kuwait Gazette, calling it a vital step to deter drug traffickers and protect the youth. He noted that close coordination among GCC countries has helped intercept major smuggling attempts and strengthen regional stability.
