Head of Civil Aviation:The President of Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Sheikh M. Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, announced that the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has completed a comprehensive audit of Kuwait’s aviation safety system from November 4 to 16, 2025, under the USOAP-CMA program.

A team of seven ICAO experts reviewed all legislative, technical, regulatory, and operational aspects of aviation safety. By the grace of God and the dedication of the DGCA’s technical and administrative teams, Kuwait successfully passed the audit with results that exceed both global and regional averages — the highest score in the country’s civil aviation history.

Sheikh Hamoud Al-Sabah emphasized that this milestone reflects Kuwait’s strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality, especially as the new T2 terminal at Kuwait International Airport approaches its opening.

He extended his sincere congratulations to His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, His Highness the Prime Minister, and the Minister of Defense, noting that this success was made possible through their continuous support and guidance. He also expressed deep appreciation to all DGCA employees and government agencies whose tireless efforts played a major role in achieving these exceptional results.
