Indian Ambassador Kuwait-Kuwait City: The newly appointed Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, Paramita Tripathi, arrived in the country on Monday morning to officially assume her duties.
According to Indian media reports, Tripathi’s appointment reflects the strong historical ties and growing strategic partnership between India and Kuwait. Both nations continue to enhance cooperation in key sectors, including trade, energy, culture, education, and people-to-people relations.
Ambassador Tripathi has had a distinguished diplomatic career, serving in several key positions. Between 2005 and 2008, she worked in the Pakistan and United Nations divisions at India’s Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, later moving to the East Asia Department, where she handled relations with Japan, China, and Korea.
She has also served in various overseas missions, including Brussels (2003–2005), Tokyo (2008–2011), and as Deputy High Commissioner at the Indian High Commission in Singapore since December 2013.
Tripathi holds a master’s degree in Geography from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She is fluent in Hindi, English, and Bengali, and has a working knowledge of French.
Her arrival marks the beginning of a new chapter in India–Kuwait relations, as both countries aim to deepen cooperation across multiple fields.
