The official Kuwait Al-Youm newspaper has published Decision No. 1398 of 2025, issued by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, amending certain provisions of the executive regulations of the Traffic Law.
Under the new decision, all vehicles are permitted to have factory-installed tinted glass. In addition, the installation of colored foils is allowed, provided the tint level does not exceed 50%.
The regulation specifies that tinting is permitted for all vehicle windows except the front windshield (directly in front of the driver), which must remain clear and transparent in compliance with Gulf standard safety specifications.
The decision also prohibits the use of reflective glass or foils.
