The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has announced that flight operations at Kuwait International Airport have resumed following the stabilization and improvement of weather conditions across the country.

Abdullah Al-Rajhi, the official spokesperson for the DGCA, confirmed that the airport’s operations are now stable, with flights running on their regular schedules in coordination with airlines and relevant authorities.

He emphasized that the DGCA continues to closely monitor weather updates in cooperation with concerned agencies to ensure smooth air traffic flow and operational safety. Al-Rajhi also commended the dedication of airport teams and the cooperation shown by airlines and passengers during the temporary flight diversions.

Al-Rajhi, who is also the Acting Deputy Director General for Aviation Safety, Air Transport, and Aviation Security, noted that Kuwait International Airport had been affected by heavy fog since 2:00 AM, with horizontal visibility dropping below 100 meters. This caused several incoming flights to be diverted to neighboring airports for safety reasons.

He reaffirmed that the safety of passengers and aircraft remains the DGCA’s highest priority, and that all necessary operational measures are taken in coordination with relevant authorities to maintain the highest standards of aviation safety.
