Kuwait City: The Ministry of Information and Culture has announced that the Geopark project north of Kuwait Bay will officially open in January 2026. The announcement was made by Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi in a letter addressed to Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Abdullatif Al-Mishari.

He also requested support from municipal authorities to remove waste and clean up the site to ensure work begins on schedule and in accordance with the approved timeline.
Highlighting the importance of the project, Al-Mutairi described it as one of Kuwait’s pioneering national initiatives in ecotourism, emphasizing its educational, cultural, and natural significance. The Geopark aims to showcase Kuwait’s unique geological heritage and strengthen the country’s position on the global ecotourism map, contributing to its regional and international reputation.
