As part of its efforts to enforce traffic laws and improve road discipline, the General Traffic Department has launched regular field campaigns in front of hospitals across all governorates.
These campaigns focus on vehicles that park illegally — especially in areas where parking is prohibited or random parking blocks traffic and prevents emergency vehicles from reaching hospitals. Such actions also cause inconvenience to patients by blocking entrances, exits, and walkways.
During the campaign, several violations were recorded, and some vehicles were impounded under Article (207) of the Traffic Law, which allows impounding vehicles that cause traffic obstruction for up to two months.
The General Traffic Department confirmed that these campaigns will continue daily in all governorates to improve traffic flow and safety near hospitals.
The Ministry of Interior urges all drivers to follow the rules, park only in designated areas, and help keep roads safe for everyone. It also reaffirmed its commitment to applying the law strictly and raising traffic awareness among all members of society.
