Kuwait traffic violations:The Traffic and Operations Sector of the Ministry of Interior, under the directives of Brigadier Abdullah Al-Atiqi and field supervision of Brigadier Saad Al-Qatwan, intensified security and traffic campaigns across Kuwait’s governorates last week.

According to official reports, the campaigns resulted in:

  • 36,303 traffic violations issued
  • 46 reckless drivers arrested
  • 99 vehicles and 16 motorcycles impounded
  • 29 juveniles referred to the Juvenile Prosecution for driving without licenses

Colonel Fahd Al-Essa, Director of the Traffic Awareness Department, confirmed that patrols from all six governorates, supported by the Traffic Operations and Investigations departments, played a major role in the week-long campaign.

During the same period, traffic patrols also:

  • Dealt with 3,527 reports, including 1,334 minor collisions and 237 injury accidents
  • Arrested 62 wanted individuals for various security cases
  • Detained 136 expatriates with expired residency permits and 21 people without identification
  • Seized 41 vehicles wanted by security and judicial authorities
  • Arrested six individuals in abnormal conditions, referred to the General Department for Drug Control

The Emergency Police Department also contributed by issuing 4,796 traffic violations, seizing 22 wanted vehicles, and handling 185 traffic accidents. Their efforts led to the arrest of 19 wanted persons with varying charges, while providing assistance to 680 emergency cases and controlling nine fights.

Meanwhile, Rescue Police patrols conducted 1,610 security operations, which included arrests of wanted individuals, humanitarian assistance, and traffic accident responses. They also arrested nine suspects involved in drug and alcohol cases, all of whom were referred to the relevant authorities.

Officials reaffirmed that these campaigns will continue to ensure public safety, traffic discipline, and enforcement of the law across all governorates.
