Major Security Campaign in Khaitan: 13 Arrested for Residency Violations, 184 Traffic Offenses Recorded

KUWAIT CITY, April 26 — A major security, traffic, and awareness campaign launched yesterday in Khaitan led to the arrest of 13 individuals for expired residency permits and the issuance of 184 traffic violations, the Ministry of Interior announced.

The campaign was carried out under the directives of Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, with participation from all field sectors including the General Traffic Department, the General Department of Emergency Police, the Central General Department of Operations, and the Public Security Affairs Sector.

The operation also resulted in:

  • The referral of 2 individuals to the Anti-Narcotics Department
  • The arrest of 4 individuals for various offenses
  • The arrest of 5 individuals with active absence notices
  • The impounding of one vehicle for traffic violations and another vehicle wanted by judicial authorities
  • The distribution of 4,000 traffic law awareness brochures to the public

Authorities emphasized that the campaign aims to enforce laws, enhance public security, and raise awareness across communities.
