Kuwait City:The Meteorological Department has announced that the weather across Kuwait this weekend will be hot during the day and moderate at night, with chances of dust in open areas due to active northwesterly winds.

Acting Director of the Meteorological Department, Dharar Al-Ali, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the country is currently affected by a high-pressure extension from the northwest, bringing a hot and dry air mass. He noted that winds will be light to moderate northwesterly, occasionally becoming active and causing dust storms in some regions, which could lead to rising sea waves.

On Thursday, the weather will be hot, with northwesterly to variable winds ranging between 8 and 35 km/h, and maximum temperatures expected between 36°C and 38°C. The sea condition will be light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 4 feet.

Tonight’s weather will be moderate, with variable northwesterly winds between 8 and 30 km/h, and minimum temperatures ranging from 20°C to 22°C. Sea waves will remain between 1 and 3 feet.

For Friday, Al-Ali forecasted hot weather with northwesterly to northerly winds, light to moderate in speed but sometimes active — reaching up to 42 km/h. There is a chance of dust in open areas, and maximum temperatures will stay between 36°C and 38°C. The sea is expected to remain light to moderate, with waves reaching 1 to 5 feet.

Friday night will continue to be moderate, with northwesterly to variable winds between 8 and 28 km/h and temperatures between 20°C and 22°C.

On Saturday, the weather will be hot with northwesterly winds, occasionally active and ranging from 10 to 45 km/h, with a chance of dust in open areas. The maximum temperature will range between 37°C and 39°C, and sea waves could rise up to 6 feet at times.

Saturday night will be moderate, with northwesterly winds between 8 and 28 km/h and minimum temperatures from 21°C to 23°C. Sea conditions will remain light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 3 feet.

The department advised the public to avoid outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours and to exercise caution while driving in dusty conditions, especially in open and desert areas.
