The Ministry of Interior, through the General Traffic Department (Security Control Department – Traffic Investigations), announced the results of its intensive security and traffic campaigns conducted from September 13 to 20, 2025. The campaigns aimed to curb traffic violations, enhance road safety, and ensure strict enforcement of traffic laws across all governorates.
During this period, authorities issued 168 traffic violations and referred 21 individuals to precautionary detention. In addition, 36 vehicles and motorcycles violating traffic regulations were impounded.
The campaign also targeted minors and those without proper documentation. Eleven juveniles were arrested for driving without a license, while 74 individuals were detained for not carrying identification. Furthermore, one person was referred to the Environment Police, and another wanted individual was apprehended.
The Ministry emphasized that these campaigns will continue nationwide, focusing on identifying reckless drivers and other traffic violators. Authorities also urged citizens and residents to cooperate and report any traffic violations or unsafe driving behavior.
