This morning, mosques in Kuwait witnessed the performance of the Istisqa prayer in 125 mosques across the country’s governorates, in response to the call of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs to hold it in supplication for rain from God Almighty, after the delay in rainfall during the past period. This significant event marked a moment of rain prayer in Kuwait 2025, drawing worshippers from all over the country.
Worshippers flocked to mosques, asking God Almighty to grant relief to the country and its people through His vast mercy. The imams and worshippers advanced in a solemn and awe-inspiring scene of faith, amidst an atmosphere of reverence and supplication, in which prayers and takbirs were raised asking God to forgive sins and to write goodness for Kuwait and its people.
During sermons delivered by mosque preachers, they stressed the importance of sincerely returning to God Almighty, increasing repentance, and seeking forgiveness. They emphasized that rainfall is one of the greatest blessings, requiring constant gratitude and obedience to God’s commands.
The preachers called for abandoning sins, staying away from quarrels and disputes, and promoting the values of love, brotherhood, and reconciliation among members of society. They also pointed out that maintaining kinship ties, honoring parents, fulfilling obligations, and giving charity to the needy are among the reasons for lifting calamities and bringing blessings.
God’s mercy is vast, and He answers the prayers of His servants if they sincerely turn to Him in supplication. A large number of families brought their children to participate in the prayer, reinforcing religious values and teaching the importance of turning to God in all circumstances.
The prayer concluded with hands raised to the sky, asking God to bless Kuwait with beneficial rain that does not cause harm, protect it and its people from all evil, and perpetuate security, faith, and stability. Truly, He is the All-Hearing, the Near, the One who answers prayers.
