KUWAIT – The Al-Ajari Scientific Center has announced that real summer will begin on June 7, 2025, with the start of the Thuraya (Pleiades) season. This marks a clear shift to hotter, drier weather across Kuwait and other Gulf countries.
Starting Sunday, the Al-Batin period will begin. This is the last part of the Al-Kanna season and lasts for 13 days. During this time, the sun will be directly overhead, making shadows shorter.
The center also said that strong northwesterly winds are expected, and temperatures will rise throughout the day — from sunrise to sunset. These conditions may cause dust and sand to blow around.
Daylight hours will be long, reaching over 13 hours and 47 minutes, while sunset will happen later, at around 6:38 PM.stay updated on Kuwait’s latest news and job openings by following our WhatsApp channel!https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaCkXo25q08jnKrRwo27
At the end of Al-Batin, on June 7, the Thuraya season begins. This is when we start to feel the real heat of summer. The air will be dry, and temperatures will keep rising for the next two weeks.
The center added, “During the days of Thuraya, the heat will increase noticeably in many places, including Kuwait and other Gulf countries.”
