Kuwait City – The Ministry of Interior intensified its security operations over the weekend, deploying modern technologies to track down violators and enforce the law.

Under the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, and with the supervision of Acting Undersecretary Major General Ali Al-Adwani, a traffic security campaign was carried out in the Sabah Al-Salem area. The campaign led to the arrest of several individuals violating residency, labor, and traffic laws, alongside issuing multiple citations and initiating legal measures.

In a parallel effort, the Criminal Security Affairs Sector, in cooperation with the Kuwait Fire Force, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Kuwait Municipality, and the Public Authority for Manpower, launched a large-scale campaign in Al-Dajeej, Farwaniya Governorate. Authorities confirmed the arrest of 47 labor law violators and the issuance of 234 violations across participating agencies.

Meanwhile, the Hawalli Investigations Department of the General Department of Criminal Investigations dismantled an international network engaged in electronic gambling and illicit money transfers. The operation resulted in the arrest of seven suspects — six Egyptians and one Syrian. Investigations revealed the group was using front companies to launder funds, transferring approximately KD 25,000 per transaction through contacts in Turkey before reintroducing the money into Kuwait via unofficial channels for distribution.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized that such campaigns are part of ongoing efforts to preserve public safety, uphold the rule of law, and curb illegal activities across the country.
