Very Hot Weather and Dust Storms Expected in Kuwait This Week

Kuwait City, May 26 – The Meteorology Department has warned that Kuwait will face very hot weather and strong winds starting Monday, as the country is affected by a seasonal weather system called the Indian monsoon low.

Acting Director of the department, Dharar Al-Ali, said the country is now under a very hot air mass. Winds from the northwest will blow at speeds of up to 45 kilometers per hour. These winds are likely to cause dust storms, especially in open areas, and could also affect nearby homes.Stay updated on Kuwait’s latest news and job openings by following our WhatsApp channel!https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaCkXo25q08jnKrRwo27

Some weather stations have already recorded extremely high temperatures, reaching 51°C in some parts of the country at the start of summer.

Al-Ali added that the heat will continue to rise over the next few days. From Tuesday to Thursday, temperatures are expected to stay between 48°C and 51°C, with light to moderate winds continuing during this time.

People are advised to stay indoors during the hottest parts of the day, drink plenty of water, and avoid going out unless necessary.
